Yukos: Official statement from the management team

The Management Board of Yukos Oil Company wishes to confirm that it believes that the processes being used against the Company by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation are excessive and damage the fabric and reputation of Russia's most successful oil company and its management. The Management Team believe that the personal safety of every employee should be protected and that Russian authorities should respect national and international legal standards including rights to liberty and security of person contained in Article 5 in the European Convention on Human Rights. This is the view of the entire Board of Management of YUKOS Oil Company. Additional opinions stated earlier today did not accurately reflect the collective opinion of the Management Board.
