ODE Drills for geothermal energy in New Zealand

Mighty River Power has awarded ODE a 3-year contract for Rig #28 in the Taupo region of New Zealand . The work will commence in February 2005 and will involve the drilling of exploration and development geothermal wells.
Rig #28 is a 1,500 HP rig with 1,400 HP mud pumps, top drive, skidding system and a base camp. The rig will be imported from its current location in Western Australia .
ODE now has three drilling rigs and one workover rig in the country working for clients such as STOS, Mighty River Power, Swift Energy, Westech Energy, Tap Oil, Austral Pacific, Discovery Geo and others.
