iXSea reported the signing of a deal with MetOcean Engineers Pty Ltd (MetOcean), Western Australia, for fifty OCEANO 2500 Universal acoustic releases.
MetOcean Engineers Pty Ltd (MetOcean) is a leading consultancy providing oceanographic and meteorological services in support of coastal and ocean engineering, and environmental protection.
The company works in physical oceanography, supplemented by strong resources in marine and local, land-based meteorology. MetOcean has more than 25 years experience in the collection, analysis, interpretation and application of metocean data.
“MetOcean invested in iXSea’s acoustic releases because of their four year battery life which facilitates long-term deployments,” said Gavin Wark, senior project manager, MetOcean.
”The acoustic releases are used in meteorological buoy, directional waverider, tide gauge and current meter moorings in the Timor Sea, Northwest Shelf and Bass Strait for oil industry clients.”
More than 4800 iXSea transponders and acoustic releases have been sold worldwide.
OCEANO acoustic releases have proven their reliability and strength in tough environments; they have a low power consumption and long battery life.
